Garbage
In 2025 garbage will NOT be collected on the following Mondays:​​​

Regular garbage collection is on Mondays & Thursdays, rain or shine, except on the following holidays as observed by Miami-Dade County Government:

Recycling
In 2025 recycling service begins on Monday January 6th and will continue every other Monday, as scheduled, without interruption.

Recycling is collected every other Monday, rain or shine, as scheduled and on all holidays even if garbage service is not provided.

Replacement / Extra Bins
  • The standard size waste bin is 96 gallons and the standard recycling bin is 64 gallons. 
  • You can exchange the waste bin for a smaller 35-gallon or 65-gallon bin.  
  • The standard recycling bin can be exchanged for a smaller 35-gallon or larger 95-gallon bin.  
  • The waste and recycling bins are the property of Miami-Dade County. You may not mark, modify or otherwise alter the bins. 
  • If you move to a new residence, the bins must remain with the house for use by the next resident.
To have your bin replaced:
  • Call 311 to report the need for new bins and schedule the replacement.  Once you have a confirmation number, place the damaged bin outside of the property on the scheduled date and attach a note with the confirmation number stating that the bin is to be replaced.  ​
  • Notify management that a replacement is taking place.  
To order additional bins:
  • Additional bins can be purchased by calling 311 or completing the following form.
